2022 Structural Geology and Tectonics Forum
22 June - 24 June
SGTF is an interactive venue for discussing important frontiers, new ideas, and current research in structural geology and tectonics. The Forum also provides opportunities to discuss effective and inclusive teaching of structural geology and tectonics, including integrating research with teaching. The three-day Forum includes “one-at-a-time” technical sessions and an all-conference field trip to see rocks exposed along the Maine coast and discuss inclusive, equitable, and accessible teaching practices. Optional workshops and field trips are scheduled before and after the Forum. Although the Forum is aimed at professional geologists, we encourage advanced graduate students to attend.
This is the 6th Structural Geology and Tectonics Forum. The prior five successful ones were held at Arizona State University in January 2018, Sonoma State University in August 2016, at Colorado School of Mines in June 2014, at Williams College in June 2012, and at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in May 2010.
