Following the tradition of the previous Emile Argand conferences (informally know as the “Alpine Workshop”), the next Conference in Siena includes 3 days of presentations, as well as excursions.

• Friday 13 – Sunday 15 September 2024: Pre-conference excursions
• Monday 16 – Wednesday 18 September 2024: Conference (oral and poster presentations)
• Thursday 19 – Saturday 21 September 2024: Post-conference excursions

Since 1993 in Grenoble (France), the “Alpine Workshop” brings together geoscientists doing research or simply interested in the structure and evolution of the Alps and adjacent orogens. Aim of the Conference is the exchange of new ideas about tectonics, structure, stratigraphy, and metamorphic evolution of the Alps. Geoscientists from different disciplines are welcome to present their ideas. In addition to oral and poster presentations, multi-day field excursions will be offered before and after the meeting. The field trips will take you to some of the most beautiful areas in the Ligurian Apennines, Tuscan Apennines, Elba Island.
