Workshop: Image Analysis in Geoscience, 4-8 June, 2018, Basel, SUI

The aim of the workshop is to familiarise the participants with methods of image processing and to carry out a number of different micro-structural analyses. The workshop is based on Image SXM, a public domain software, the platform is Mac OSX. It is also possible to follow the course using Image J (PC based).
The course is open to Master level students, PhD and Postdocs. The number of participants is limited by the number of available workstations (15). Participants are encouraged to bring images of thin sections, slides or photographs in order to be able to work on their own material.
