Stiftung Alfred-Wegener-Institute for Polar and Marine Research (AWI) – Neumayer Station personnel – Antarctica
PhD opportunities in Structural Geology, Tectonics, and Seismology at the University of Colorado-Boulder
PhD student opportunities involving deep crustal deformation, metamorphism, and seismic anisotropy are available for Fall 2013 in the Department of Geological Sciences at the University of Colorado-Boulder. Projects approaching these topics from both the geology (field geology, structural and microstructural studies, petrology) and geophysical perspectives (seismic observations and modeling) and using areas throughout North America (Canadian shield, Cordillera, Rockies, and across the U.S.) are available. Applicants with interests in blending geologic studies with seismology are particularly encouraged to apply.

This is a amazing place where I can find international information concerning PhD study in the field of geology, especially structural geology and tectonics. As a structure graduate student in China, I want to further my study and research in this field. I interest in field geology, structural geoloy in the upper crust level, like fault-related folds and fold accommodation faults. So, if there is any one who are seeking for PhD graduates, I would like to have a deep conversation with he or she. People who just want to make a normal contact with or make friends with me, welcome!
