This meeting will focus on the interplay between deformation, metamorphism, and rheology of the lithosphere. Modern geophysical research is revealing increasingly complex and spatially variable fault zone behaviours. The properties and deformation of the ductile crust and mantle are controversial, as is their influence on the overlying faults.
