SUMMARY:Workshop on Mechanics of the Earthquake Cycle
DESCRIPTION:ICTP is organizing a workshop and school on the mechanics of the earthquake cycle that will start on Monday October 16th and will be held in Trieste. \nThe program will involve a series of lectures\, talks\, computer exercises with ample time for posters and discussions. \nLecturers that confirmed their participation include: \nJ.-P. Hawthorne\, University of Oxford\, UK\nA. Rubin\, University of Princeton\, USA\nB. E. Shaw\, Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory\, Columbia University\, USA\nK.
